Remi is yet another new character of mine. She is loosely based on my late friend's character, Dancing Kirby. She passed away some years ago, but I have never forgotten her, even though I only talked to her online. While she was around she was a hilarious person to talk to, a good friend and a big help to me when I was down and I felt I should pay tribute to her in some way. The creation of Remi was just a way for me to keep her memory alive in my own stories, as I don't use Kirby characters any more.

Why a hamster? Well, DK used to draw Amanda as a Kirby, so I thought I'd make Remi a hamster in response. :P That and I have a creepy obsession with hamsters apparently.

Thanks to :iconakkushisu: for helping me and inspiring me on this picture so much <3

Very nice! ^_^
You did a terrific job! :D
Not only on the picture! ;)
But also in the way you respect and remember your friend. ^^

Another very cute image from the Amandster! :aww: You did a wonderful job with this cute pic in honor of the late Dancing Kirby. :w00t!:

Honestly, I never had the chance to meet her online, but I am sure that she was truly a great friend to you. :nod:

the colouring is lovely, especially on the hair. the linework is beautifully done, too. I'd really like to see some variation in the thickness of the line work in areas, i think that could really help make your work look stronger. while well drawn, its not as bold and striking as it could be.

Don't thank me.

Glad you think so, and thanks for the tip. I'll try to use that technique in my next pic (or even go without lines, who knows). Being unsure of myself in general, I'm never sure exactly where to thicken or thin out the lines, but it's worth a try...^^;

Thanks, Rapid. Appreciate it.
